Adam Adler owns ADM Motors and works on the cars himself. He is the one most customers speak to, whether they ring with a noise or drop the keys off in the morning. He quotes the job, he does the job, and he hands the keys back. That is the whole loop.

Callum, the second mechanic

Callum works beside Adam. Reviews mention both of them by name, because customers deal with Adam or Callum directly. There is no service advisor in between. The person who answers the phone is the person who will work on your car. If Adam is under a car, Callum picks up. Either way, you talk to a mechanic.

How a job runs

Every job starts with a phone call. You describe the symptoms, and we quote over the phone before you bring the car in. A workshop this size lives or dies on getting that call right. If we find something extra while the car is apart, we ring you before we touch it, so the invoice matches the conversation. When you pick up, we walk you through what was done and answer any questions. Reviews describe it the same way.

The workshop is at 530 Hawthorn Road, Caulfield South. You drive into the fenced yard off the street. The frontage is a blue painted brick wall with a red and yellow horizontal stripe. It sits opposite the Brighton General Cemetery. Drop the keys at the counter and tell us what the car is in for.

Adam's 4WD background

Adam has driven the Victorian High Country with a 4WD club for years. He wrote a reader Q&A column called Adam's tips, answering questions from other four-wheel drivers. He has also worked with TaipanXP exhausts and Ark Power Packs, so he knows what a performance exhaust or a power pack does on a diesel. Three of his articles are on this site.
